Aħna l-kappillani tal-erba’ Parroċċi ta’ Tas-Sliema, flimkien mal-Parroċċa tal-Balluta, wara li smajna t-tħassib, l-ilmenti u d-dwejjaq tal-komunitajiet tagħna, u wara li tkellimna mal-Kummissjoni Interdjoċesana Ambjent, ħassejna l-ħtieġa li nuru l-inkwiet tagħna fuq il-mod allarmanti li bih din il-lokalità qed tiġi degradata minħabba l-ammont ta’ proġetti ta’ kostruzzjoni li qed isiru fiha. Qegħdin nevitaw li nużaw il-kelma “żvilupp”għax inħossu li dak li qed isir f’din il-lokalità ma jistħoqqlux dan it-titlu, għax “biex nistgħu nitkellmu fuq żvilupp awtentiku, irridu nagħmlu mezz li jkun hemm titjib sħiħ fil-kwalità tal-ħajja umana, u dan ifisser li għandna nikkonsidraw ukoll l-ambjent li fih in-nies iqattgħu ħajjithom” (Laudato Si`, 147)…
