Pope Francis to visit Morocco in March

  • The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Greg Burke, announced on Tuesday that Pope Francis will visit Morocco from the 30th to the 31st of March 2019.

    During this two-day Apostolic Journey, he will visit the cities of Rabat and Casablanca.

A new appointment for Archbishop Scicluna by Pope Francis

  • His Holiness Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna as Adjunct Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Holy See. Whilst remaining the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr Scicluna will have a greater role in the Congregation which is responsible to promote and safeguard the doctrine on faith and morals in the Church.

    At present, Archbishop Scicluna is a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and President of the Special College within the same Congregation, to hear recourses in certain canonical processes…

Pope Francis: ‘Singing elevates soul to listen to the Spirit’

  • Singing elevates the soul, making it “more sensitive to the voice of the Spirit.”

    Pope Francis described the musical art in this way, while speaking to 300-odd members of the “Alumni of Heaven” Choir Association on Saturday.

The Vatican creates an International Observatory against cyberbullying

  • “Promise the Lord that you will never do this, and you will not permit it to be done in your school, in your school, in your neighborhood. Is that understood?”

    It was not a casual message for the Pope. The bullying problem on social networks worries him to the point that the Vatican will create an International Observatory.

The Environment Commission proposes EU member states be more attentive to the people
