The draft of the final document was presented to the Synod Fathers on Tuesday morning and was greeted with a long round of applause, Dr Paolo Ruffini Prefect of the Vatican Dicastery for Communication said. On Friday, 19th October 2018, a group of around 25 pilgrims from the diocese of Montauban in France, visited the Archbishop’s Curia where they celebrated Mass and later met with Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi. A meeting was held on Friday 19th October 2018, between the Secretariat for Catholic Education and the Union for Professional Educators (UPE). Both parties clarified that when issues arise, the UPE will first contact the head of school and both parties will address the matter. If the issue is not resolved, the UPE will then contact the Secretariat which will work with the school and the UPE to resolve the issue.
In view of this development, the Secretariat is initiating legal procedures to withdraw the inhibitory injunction and the UPE is withdrawing its directives in Church schools with immediate effect…
