This Saturday, 2nd Mary 2026, Archbishop Charles Scicluna will ordain three new deacons. The three deacons are Fra Mauro Zammit from the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, and Bro. Matthew Alfino and Bro. Raphael Axisa from the Salesians of Don Bosco.

Fondazzjoni Sebħ has noted the Court of Appeal’s ruling in a case dating back to 2015 involving a former employee of Dar Fra Diegu, and expresses regret at the circumstances of the case.

The Foundation wishes to clarify that it was not in existence at the time of the incident and only assumed management of Dar Fra Diegu at a later stage.

Since information has been circulating on social media regarding the presence and activity of Alessandro Minutella in the Archdiocese of Malta, the Archbishop wishes to clarify that Alessandro Minutella, a former priest, was excommunicated for heresy and schism by a decree of the Archbishop of Palermo on 15th August 2018.
