New sacred music masterclass series in collaboration with international experts

A series of masterclasses exploring a wide range of practical and musicological topics is being presented by The Academy of Sacred Music Francesco Azopardi, in collaboration with the Pastoral Formation Institute. The Church in Malta has published ethical guidelines on care for the elderly, stating that the right to life entails the means for “proper protection and development of life” till the very final stages.

Compiled by a group of experts and ethicists, the publication, entitled ‘Care for Elderly Persons in Church Residential Homes in Malta: Ethical Guidelines,’ reaffirms the duty of citizens to promote the dignity of the elderly community and respect the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death.

The restoration of Annunication Chapel – the chapel next to the Laferla Cross in the limits of Siġġiewi – has missed its October 2024 deadline due to various factors, including structural problems which were only revealed when restoration works began, Parliament was told on Tuesday.

Archbishop Charles Scicluna has appointed Fr Matthew Pulis as the parish priest of Saint Joseph Parish, Manikata. The Archbishop thanks Fr Peter Paul Sultana for his pastoral service within the community.
