European Award for Dar tal-Providenza

Dar tal-Providenza, described as a ‘monument for mercy’, was awarded the European Citizen’s Prize 2021 for Malta from the European Parliament in recognition for the best Maltese and European values.

Two new candidates for the priesthood

Two seminarians, who are currently in their fifth year of studies at the Archbishop’s Seminary, will ask Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna to accept them officially as candidates for the Ordination to the Diaconate and the Priesthood. This celebration will be held on Monday, 1st November 2021, during All Saints Day Mass at St John’s Co‑Cathedral, Valletta, at 6:30 p.m.

World Mission Sunday 2021

The month of October is annually dedicated to the missions. Mission Month starts with “1st of October which was the feast of Saint Therese of Lisieux, the patron of missions and the second last Sunday is World Mission Sunday. This is an opportunity to pay special attention to the importance of sharing faith in mission.” (Msgr. Valentino Borg, National Director of Missio Malta). 

The message that Pope Francis chose for this year is inspired from the biblical scripture ACTS 4:20 ‘We cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard’ (Acts 4:20).
