As Bishops of Malta and Gozo, together with the people of God in our Islands, we would like and wish to express our concern for the situation that has arisen once again in Benghazi in Libya. We are close in prayer and in thought with especially our Brother His Excellency Msgr. Silvester Magro O.F.M.
Therefore, while we appreciate very much the work of the missionaries in Libya, especially the presence of the Maltese Franciscan Friars Minor, we exhort our faithful Catholics to put before their benevolent celestial Father to care and watch over this people and to grant it the much desired and necessary peace.
