Communications Office
The Communications Office of the Archdiocese of Malta is responsible for facilitating effective communication between the Archdiocese, the Catholics in Malta and society.
This Office’s main role is to see that the communication between the Archdiocese and the community continues to develop in the best interest of all of society.
Its work includes sharing the Maltese bishops’ message, clarifying the Church’s position on particular topics, preparing and disseminating statements, organising activities for the press, as well as providing relevant information about the events in the Archdiocese.
The Office also manages relationships with media outlets and offers replies to journalists’ questions on various Church-related topics.
Furthermore, the Communications Office collaborates with various media houses to promote more awareness of the precious work and contribution to society of the Catholic Church in Malta.
The Communications Office of the Archdiocese of Malta was set up in 2009 according to the document ‘The Digital Face of the Lord’ to implement a proposal of the Diocesan Synod (Culture, Society, Church).
