On Wednesday, 13th October, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. presided over a meeting for midwives organized by the Secretariat for Laity, at Mater Dei hospital.

Around 70 midwives attended for the meeting which involved an exchange of experiences. Some of the midwives spoke about the dumbfounding miracle of life, an experience which they get to live everyday. They also spoke about some of they experience on a daily basis.

The Archbishop praised the midwives especially since they can be of great assistance to the mothers-to-be. Archbishop Cremona emphasized that one’s Catholic faith can be of great assistance during hard times.

Prof. Manwel Agius and Rev. John Vella also took part in the meeting which was led by Joe Farrugia, the Archbishop’s Delegate for Laypeople.
