Archbishop Charles Scicluna met with Minister Carmelo Abela and the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) to discuss the pandemic effect.
This informal meeting, held on Thursday 19th November at the Archbishop’s Curia, served for the Archbishop to understand the stresses of the pandemic on the economic and social spectrum. He noted the State’s aid to help employees, while also noting the difficulties families are facing due to the crisis.

Archbishop Scicluna also said that employers should always offer work that offers dignity, and that employees also have responsibilities towards their employers. He appealed for everyone to work together towards the common good and to set aside our differences.
