Kien ordnat Isqof fl‑1986 u nħatar Arċisqof Titulari ta’ Tindari. Huwa rtira mis‑servizz diplomatiku fl‑2002. L‑Arċisqof Giglio, li kellu 89 sena, miet il-bieraħ filgħaxija.
    Il-funeral tiegħu ser isir nhar l-Erbgħa 9 ta’ Marzu 2016, fid-9:15 a.m., fil-Kon-Katidral ta’ San Ġwann, il-Belt Valletta.
    • Mgr Paul Giglio, Archbishop and Diplomat

      Born in Valletta, Mgr Paul Giglio studied at the Lyceum, the Archbishop’s Seminary, the Pontifical Gregorian University, from where he obtained a licentiate in theology and a doctorate in canon law, and the Pontificia Accademia Ecclesiastica, Rome.
      Ordained priest in 1952, Mgr Giglio joined the diplomatic service of the Holy See, serving as secretary, apostolic nunciature, Nicaragua (1958-59), Argentina (1960-62), Iran (1963-65); auditor, apostolic delegation in Saigon, South Vietnam (1966-68), Yugoslavia (1969-70); counsellor, apostolic delegation, USA (1971-72); counsellor, apostolic nunciature, Brazil (1973-75); counsellor and deputy head of mission, apostolic nunciature, France (1976-77); and chargé d’affaires, apostolic nunciature, Taiwan (1978-86).
      Mgr Giglio was appointed titular Archbishop of Tindari, Apostolic Nuncio to Nicaragua (1986) and Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt (1995).
      He was consecrated bishop at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta in 1986. He retired from the Apostolic Service in 2002.
