Last week, ACTS Teens, a segment of Youth Fellowship, hosted its annual Boot Camp at St. Paul’s Missionary College in Rabat. This 4-day live-in, designed for teens aged 13-17, brought together nearly 180 participants, guided by a team of 60 youth leaders.

This year’s camp embraced a Wild West theme under the slogan ‘Wanted,’ symbolizing God’s desire to know and love each individual, drawing them closer to His heart. The days were planned with dynamic activities that balanced fun with spiritual growth. Highlights included a bonfire night, beach outings, team-building activities, a BBQ, karaoke sessions, and an original mystery game, Human Cluedo.

Central to the camp experience were the workshops and discussions that delved into the camp’s theme. Speakers explored key Bible passages, including the stories of Zacchaeus, Matthew the tax collector, and the Prodigal Son, helping teens understand how God values them, seeks a personal relationship with them, and wants to be actively involved in their lives. The spiritual journey was further enriched by opportunities for prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament and the availability of confession.

Several participants reflected on their experience during this annual live-in, describing it as “a lot of fun and an experience that drew me closer to God”; as well as an opportunity to “find time to speak to God personally”, and “open my heart to something new where I discovered new friends I could relate to.”

ACTS Teens Boot Camp continues to be a summer tradition that teenagers look forward to each year, leaving a lasting impact on all who attend by combining the joy of fellowship, belonging and community with a deeper exploration of faith.
