A programme of activities by the Society of Christian Doctrine for the feast of St George Preca will start today. The programme will be held in the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal where the remains of this Maltese saint and founder of the Society of Christian Doctrine M.U.S.E.U.M. are found.
Monday 6th May 2024
- Adoration at 5pm.
- Mass at 6pm in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal at Blata l-Bajda, led by Fr Ewkarist Zammit, Archpriest of St Sebastian Parish in Ħal Qormi.
Tuesday 7th May 2024
- Adoration at 5pm.
- Mass at 6pm presided by Gozo Bishop Anton Teuma.
Wednesday 8th May 2024
- Mass at 7:30am
- Adoration at 5pm.
- Mass at 6pm. During the Mass, a reflection is offered on the life of St George Preca.
- At 7pm, a lecture by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle will commence at the Auditorium of the General House in Blata l-Bajda. This event is organised by the Faculty of Theology and the Theology Students’ Association at the University of Malta in collaboration with the the Society of Christian Doctrine.
- The Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will open from 7am till noon and from 4pm till 10pm.
Thursday 9th May 2024
- Mass at 7:30am
- Mass at 6:30pm presided over by Archbishop Charles Scicluna in the Auditorium of the SDC General House at Blata l-Bajda.
- The Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will open from 7am till noon and from 4pm till 10pm.
The faithful are invited to pray in front of the remains of St George Preca.
