Archbishop Charles Scicluna today joined the family of Daphne Caruana Galizia for a private moment of prayer and remembrance marking the ninth anniversary of her assassination.
The prayers included a reading from the Book of Ecclesiastes followed by a blessing imparted by the Archbishop. Harpist Jacob Portelli provided musical accompaniment.
The short service also remembered Daphne’s mother, Rose Vella, who passed away in 2023.
Ms Caruana Galizia was brutally murdered in Bidnija on October 16, 2017.
The gathering offered an opportunity for the Archbishop to express his continued solidarity with Ms Caruana Galizia’s family in their quest for full justice for the murder of a mother, wife, sister and daughter, and to remember both Daphne and her mother in a spirit of quiet reflection and prayer.
