The office of the Coordinator for Pastoral Work with Separated Persons, offers its service in coordination with Caritas Malta and Cana Movement, with NGOs, civic entities, with parishes and other ecclesial entities. This office is coordinated by Fr Marco Portelli.
This office provides:
- spiritual support and spiritual accompaniment to couples and/or single persons who are thinking of, or are in the process of, or are already separated from their partners.
- a prevention strategy through personal and/or group support encounters. Such strategy which is also coordinated with Caritas Malta, addresses grief and advocacy; spiritual discernment; guidelines and holistic formation programmes.
- on parish level, encounters are provided to groups aiming at strengthening marital relationships and/or are experiencing difficult moments in their marital relationships.
During the year the office also organises:
- lenten talks,
- formation seminars for parish group facilitators,
- seminars on various topics of interest,
- social activities including hikes, cultural activities and other fellowship events,
- support groups in select parsihes,
- one-to-one spiritual accompaniment (by appointment).
