The Malta Catholic Youth Network will host PLEXUS 2025 with the theme ‘Rooted’, building on last year’s reflection, where the word rooted’ resonated strongly among participants. The event will bring together youth ministers and leaders for a full day of talks, prayer, workshops, and networking opportunities, with the aim of renewing and inspiring those engaged in youth ministry across the islands. The programme will invite participants to consider three central questions: Why must we be rooted? Where are we rooted? And how can rooted ministry be lived out in today’s world? Plexus 2025 will take place on Saturday, 4 October 2025at Trident Park, Imrieħel.

The line-up of speakers and panellists includes Fr Kevin Schembri, Janine Balzan Engerer, Fr Josef Mifsud, Anthony Mifsud, Albert Debono, Johann Tabone sdc, and Fr Ivan Attard OP. The event will also feature special guest Don Alberto Ravagnani, an Italian priest and well-known internet personality, who will address the topic Christians in the Digital Culture.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend one of two workshops:

  • Serving Our Community (led by Albert Debono), which will focus on practical approaches to guiding young people in making service a natural and creative expression of their faith within parishes, groups, and society.
  • Discipleship (led by Johann Tabone sdc), which will explore ways of accompanying young people in their journey of faith through the Gospel, prayer, dialogue, and the gradual path of discipleship.

In addition to the sessions, the programme will include moments of prayer, fellowship, and a shared meal.
