On Friday 8th November Fr James Hanvey SJ will be addressing a dialogue meeting on the theme: ‘In Malta, how can we be a Church of laity and clergy working together with hope, despite the challenges?’ The meeting will be held between 7pm – 9pm at the MSSP Oratory Hall in Birkirkara.
Fr. James Hanvey is a theologian, author, and retreat director. He has taught at Heythrop College, University of London, and was the Founding Director of the Heythrop Institute for Religion, Ethics, and Public Life. He was also the Master of Campion Hall at the University of Oxford and a consultant to the Bishops of England and Wales. He currently lives in Rome, where he leads the Jesuit Secretariat for the Service of Faith. During his stay, he will also lead a retreat for priests in Malta.
