70 players started training sessions for the Volleyball Marathon in aid of Id-Dar tal‑Providenza, which this year will be held between Friday 19th and Sunday 21st July 2024. The players are being assisted by 12 coaches.
The seven-week training sessions are taking place in the grounds of St. Clare College Pembroke Secondary School. This training will come to an end between Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June with a trial of 24 hour continuous play. After this trial, the 40 players who will participate in this year’s edition will be selected, according to established criteria. As in previous years, the Marathon will be held at Id‑Dar tal‑Providenza, in Siġġiewi. Bank of Valletta will be the main sponsor of the event.
