Homily by Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi

Today’s Gospel is not gentle. It is not comfortable, not easy. It is radical. And that is precisely why it is perfect for today: the day when you will be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Because Confirmation is not the sacrament of comfort. It is the sacrament of courage… Read more »

Faithfulness begins in the heart – The Archbishop

asilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Valletta

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Ġesù huwa ppreokkupat biex il-liġi ta’ Alla neħduha bis-serjetà. Hu jinsisti li sal-aħħar taż-żmien: “anqas l-iżgħar ittra jew tikka waħda mil-Liġi ma titneħħa sa ma jkun seħħ kollox” (Mt 5:18). Imma jissuġġerixxi li ma niqfux biss fil-wiċċ, imma nħarsu lejn il-qalb, meta ngħidu: ħa nimxi fuq il-liġi t’Alla.

F’din is-silta, pjuttost twila mill-kapitlu 5 ta’ San Mattew, Ġesù jieħu diversi eżempji tal-liġi imma jgħallimna wkoll immorru lejn il-qalb tal-liġi… Read more »

This year’s message for the 12th World Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking has crystallised this reality with moral clarity and urgency… Read more »
