On Friday 23 January, a Diocesan Ecumenical Service was held in Rabat as part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

Led by Archbishop Charles Scicluna, the service began with a moment of prayer at St Paul’s Grotto, followed by prayers at Collegiate Basilica of St Paul with the participation of various Christian Churches, including the Russian, Serbian, Indian and Romanian Orthodox Churches; the Church of England; St Andrew’s Scots Church in Valletta; the Catholic Church, the Greek Catholic Church; the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Malta; the Chinese Christian Church; and the Evangelical Lutheran Church… Read more »

When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee. He left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, that what had been said through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled: Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen.”
