Matul iż‑żmien tar‑Randan, żmien li jistedinna nieqfu, nirriflettu u nkunu qrib il‑persuni fil‑bżonn, l‑Arċisqof Charles Scicluna għamel żewġ żjarat pastorali f’Birkirkara, fejn qatta’ ħin mal‑persuni li jibbenefikaw mis‑servizzi ta’ Dar Papa Franġisku, u mas‑saċerdoti anzjani fid‑Dar tal‑Kleru.

Il‑preżenza tiegħu serviet bħala eżempju ħaj tal‑messaġġ ta’ Kristu: li nħobbu, naqdu u nkunu preżenti għal xulxin, speċjalment dawk li jinsabu f’sitwazzjonijiet ta’ vulnerabbiltà… Read more »

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Id-dar imtliet bir-riħa tfuħ” (Ġw 12:3). Din id-deskrizzjoni sabiħa ta’ din il-ġrajja li għandna fl-Evanġelju skont San Ġwann turina l-imħabba ġeneruża. Hawnhekk għandna lil Ġesù li jmur Betanja, għand familja li kienet ħafna għażiża għalih – Lazzru, Marta, Marija – u hemmhekk ikollu ikla. Ma kienx waħdu. Kien mad-dixxipli tiegħu. U waqt din l-ikla, filwaqt li qed jieklu, Marija ħadet libbra fwieħa tan-nard pur, li kienet tiswa ħafna, u dilket biha riġlejn Ġesù, u xxuttathomlu b’xagħarha… Read more »

I have the opportunity to rest my head on the pillow

Ritratt: Ian Noel Pace

Ninsabu ftit jiem biss ‘il bogħod miċ-ċelebrazzjoni tal-festi tal-Għid. L-Għid hi festa li ma seħħitx sempliċiment elfejn sena ilu u daqshekk. L-Għid iseħħ kuljum.

Ibda biex, Ġesù ma għaddiex għall-ħajja ta’ dejjem minn fuq xi karozza lussuża issemmix! Lanqas ma għadda għal ħajja billi evita t-tbatija. Il-festa tal-Għid turini x’inhi l-imħabba vera. Hawnhekk m’aħniex nitħaddtu fuq qabda paroli fil-vojt jew katina ta’ kliem doppju sens li ma jwassal għal imkien… Read more »
