Protect us from deceit and wickedness – Bishop Galea-Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Min-nies qarrieqa u ħżiena eħlisni” (Salm 43:1). Dan hu li tlabna fis-Salm illum, u din hija talba li dejjem għandna nagħmlu lill-Mulej – li jipproteġina mill-qerq u mill-ħażen. Fil-fatt, fl-Evanġelju Ġesù jitkellem fuq dak li hu riżultat tal-qerq u tal-ħażen, u li kien se jgħaddi minnu. Hu li ma għamilx ħlief ġid lin-nies, u tant għallem u għamel affarijiet sbieħ, jgħid fl-Evanġelju: Bin il-bniedem se jbati ħafna, jiċħduh, joqtluh u fit-tielet jum iqum (ara Lq 9:22)… Read more »

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning!

Today, again, we will look at the mystery of Holy Saturday. It is the day of the Paschal Mystery in which everything seems immobile and silent, while in reality an invisible action of salvation is being fulfilled: Christ descends into the realm of the dead to bring the news of the Resurrection to all those who were in the darkness and in the shadow of death… Read more »
