Solidarity with the victims – Bishop Galea‑Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Ġie Nażaret fejn kien trabba” (Lq 4:16). Mal-ewwel, fl-Evanġelju skont San Luqa, naraw lil Ġesù li jibda l-missjoni tiegħu – li jwassal il-Kelma ta’ Alla – mhux f’Ġerusalemm imma proprju f’Nażaret, fejn kien għex, kien trabba. Hawn illum għandna din is-silta fejn Ġesù jmur is-sinagoga. Interessanti dil-kelma li hemm: “kif kien imdorri jagħmel kull nhar ta’ Sibt” (Lq 4:16) – biex tfakkarna dejjem kemm hu importanti li għandna nieħdu bis-serjetà l-obbligi tagħna reliġjużi… Read more »

Humility and generosity – Bishop Galea‑Curmi

  Poor Clares Church, St. Julian's

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Hawnhekk Ġesù kien mistieden mal-oħrajn, u kienu madwar mejda, u kien qed jinnota kif il-mistednin bdew jagħżlu l-postijiet ta’ quddiem fil-mejda. Ikla bħal din ma kinetx sempliċiment ikla, imma kien ikun hemm  postijiet ta’ unur, u qisu jekk inti ssib post tajjeb, is-siġġu juri kemm int importanti… Read more »
