Hundreds of pilgrims continue to visit Pope Francis’ tomb daily

Several months have passed since the Catholic world woke up to the sad news of Pope Francis’ death. But devotion to the Argentinian pope has not waned.

This is the Basilica of Saint Mary Major. As many know, it was one of his favorite places. Inside is the Salus Populi Romani, where he always returned before and after his travels.

UN reports record number of aid worker deaths in 2024

The United Nations has revealed that at least 383 humanitarian workers have been killed globally since the beginning of 2024, describing the toll as a “shocking record” and a stark reflection of the growing dangers faced by aid personnel.
