Il-Papa Franġisku sejjaħ lil Santa Marija Maddalena “appostlu tal-appostli”. Fil-fatt, ħa l-istess frażi li kien uża snin ilu San Tumas ta’ Aquino biex jiddeskrivi l-qaddisa. Il-Papa Franġisku għen biex aħna nerġgħu niskopru ħafna aktar il-valur ta’ din il-qaddisa għal żminijietna.

Għal ħafna snin kien hemm l-idea li Marija Maddalena kienet midinba magħrufa li mbagħad Ġesù kkonvertiha. Imma maż-żmien skoprew li fil-fatt din kienet idea li tgħaqqad flimkien tnejn min-nies – lil Marija Maddalena, u lil dik il-mara li kienet midinba magħrufa u marret darba minnhom u xarrbet saqajn Ġesù bi dmugħha u xxuttathomlu b’xagħarha, il-mara li fuqha Ġesù kien qal: “dnubietha, li kienu ħafna, inħafrulha għax ħabbet ħafna” (Lq 7:47). Catechist suspended by MUSEUM following Court charges

The Church’s Safeguarding Commission was today informed that the Society of Christian Doctrine (MUSEUM) has suspended with immediate effect one of its catechists, William Mark Camilleri, after he was charged in court with defiling children through fake Facebook accounts.

While the Safeguarding Commission has not received any information at this stage indicating that an offence took place either as a direct result of Mr Camilleri’s role as a catechist or on premises belonging to the Church or the Museum – the existing charges in court relate solely to his alleged use of fake Facebook profiles to establish connections with minors – it will be conducting its own investigation to explore the matter further and make recommendations to the Church authorities… Read more »
