In those days, Jesus said to the Eleven, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptised will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The language of every mission by our Lord: leave everything behind, give our lives, trust Him and let Him work – The Archbishop

The Parish Church of St Julian's, St Julian's

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Il-Kelma ta’ Alla llum, tkellimna dwar il-misteru tas-sejħa. Ilkoll nirċievu mingħand Ġesù, mingħand il-Mulej f’ħajjitna. Kemm il-Profeta fil-bidu tal-vokazzjoni tiegħu, l-Profeta Iżaija jħoss li mhuwiex dehen; hekk jiġrilu Pietru; hekk jikkonferma Pawlu. Dawn it-tliet personaġġi li l-Kelma ta’ Alla tlaqna magħhom illum: il-Profeta Iżaija, l-Appostlu Missierna, li mil-lejla nibdew niċċelebraw il-festa patronali tiegħu, u Pietru. Fil-laqgħa tagħhom mal-Mulej iħossu li huma midinbin, iħossu n-nuqqasijiet tagħhom; it-tagħbija tal-passat tagħhom… Read more »
