PLEXUS 24: Hear Hear – A Call to Listen and Discern

On Saturday, 5th October 2024, the Malta Catholic Youth Network held the annual conference, PLEXUS 24: Hear Hear, at Trident Park in Mrieħel. Around 140 youth leaders and animators dedicated a day for reflection and growth, with the theme centred on listening, particularly to God, inviting leaders to pause and discern God’s voice in their work with young people.

MSSP Oratory: Pastoral Year Launch 2024/2025

The Missionary Society of St Paul (MSSP) has launched its pastoral programme for the new pastoral year, running from October 2024 to June 2025 at the MSSP Oratory. The Oratory provides Christian formation for adults, youth, and children.

Encouraging healing and spiritual growth, the programme revolves around liturgical celebrations and participation in the Eucharist, aligning with the liturgical calendar. Key liturgical seasons such as Advent and Lent are highlighted and introduced by a one-day retreat… Read more »

Alternative residence found for elderly residents at Apap Institute

The 30 elderly residents of the Apap Institute care home in Santa Venera will be relocated to another residence in Bugibba. This decision follows the Dominican Sisters’ announcement that they can no longer sustain their mission and manage the home, due to the sister’s advancing age, a decline in vocations and insufficient resources to refurbish the 80-year-old building.

Synod Forum: the People of God as the protagonist of mission

At a theological-pastoral forum held in the Jesuit General Curia, participants expressed the hope that the synodal bodies of the future would be representative of the entire ecclesial body, taking into account professions, competencies, and characteristics of the local Churches.

HRH Prince Edward meets with residents of Dar tal-Providenza and the Malta Paralympic community

His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, visited Id-Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi today, where he met with Maltese para athletes. During this significant visit, the Duke also met with residents of the home, staff, volunteers, schoolchildren and various sporting communities.
