Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, for it is impossible that a prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.’

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were unwilling! … Read more »

Mass on the 80th anniversary of the founding of St Elias College Mass at Sta Venera

  St Elias College, Sta Venera

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Nixtieq nitkellem dwar l-hena. Kemm-il darba dan id-diskors mill-Evanġelju ta’ San Mattew, li għadna nsejħulu diskors tal-Beatitudnijiet, tal-hena, Ġesù jagħżel kategorija ta’ nies, u jsejħilhom ‘henjin’. Tajjeb li wieħed meta jkollu ċans jifli ftit min hu hieni skont Ġesù. Ħa ngħidilkom xi ħaġa li tista’ tgħinkom biex tiftakru f’dawn it-tmien barkiet. Ħafna drabi nħobbu ngħidu li s-salib tal-Kavallieri, imbagħad sar is-salib ta’ Malta, għandu tmien ponot għax ifakkarna f’dawn it-tmien barkiet li jsemmi Ġesù fl-Evanġelju ta’ San Mattew… Read more »
