So they went out and proclaimed that all should repent. They cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.  Read more »

A bright star in the night – Bishop Joseph Galea‑Curmi

  Monastery of St. Scholastica, Birgu

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

San Benedittu, Fundatur tal-Monakiżmu fil-Punent, għex ħafna snin ilu. Twieled għall-ħabta tas-sena 480, u miet fis-sena 547, jiġifieri ara kemm għaddew snin minn meta għex! Imma meta aħna naraw il-ħajja tiegħu u l-kelma tiegħu, jolqotna kemm għadu rilevanti għall-ħajja tagħna llum. Baqa’ wkoll ħaj fl-esperjenza spiritwali ta’ tant nies li segwewh, fil-ħajja monastika u ispirati mir-Regola tiegħu.

Nixtieq insemmi tliet punti mir-rikkezza kbira tal-ħajja tiegħu, li naħseb jagħtu messaġġ sabiħ għall-ħajja tagħna fi żminijietna… Read more »
