Mass on World Children's Day

A child once asked his mom: what is God like? What does it mean that God is Trinity? In response, his mother did this: she took him in her arms, then hugged his father too, and when all three of them were within this embrace, she said: “this how God is!”

Dear children, are you happy when your mom and dad hug you? … Read more »

As Jesus was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt down before him, and asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. You know the commandments: ‘You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; you shall not defraud; honor your father and your mother.’”

The Parish Church of Jesus of Nazareth, Tas-Sliema

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

“Agħmlu dixxipli mill-ġnus kollha” (Mt 28:19). Din hi l-istedina ħerqana ta’ Ġesù li smajna fl-Evanġelju għall-festa tal-lum. “Għammduhom fl-isem tal-Missier, u tal-Iben u tal-Ispirtu s-Santu” (Mt 28:19). Mela l-kmand ta’ Ġesù mhuwiex biss ix-xandir tal-Bxara t-Tajba, u li aħna l-Insara f’kuntatt mad-dinja, nattiraw iżjed nies għall-familja ta’ Ġesù; imma wkoll li bil-qawwa tiegħu, aħna u l-umanità, nidħlu fil-ħajja ta’ Alla li hu mħabba: il-Missier, u l-Iben, u l-Ispirtu s-Santu… Read more »
