Pope at Audience: We meet God in prayer, in the ‘today’ that we live

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning!

In the preceding catechesis we saw how Christian prayer is “anchored” in the Liturgy. Today, we will shed light on how the Liturgy always enters daily life: on the streets, in offices, on public transportation… And there it continues the dialogue with God: the person who prays is like someone in love who always bears the beloved in his or her heart wherever they go… Read more »

To safeguard human life – Bishop Galea-Curmi

Mass on the fifth Sunday in ordinary time

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Jekk hemm xi ħaġa li tolqtok f’dan l-Evanġelju skont San Mark li għadna kif smajna, din hi l-imħabba kbira ta’ Ġesù lejn kull persuna; kif Ġesù ried dejjem il-ġid lil kull persuna, u għalhekk kien jgħin biex ifejjaq lil min kien marid, biex ineħħi dak li jfixkel il-ħajja, u jgħin lill-bniedem biex jgħix ħajtu mill-ġdid.

Ir-rispett lejn il-ħajja ta’ kull bniedem

Hawnhekk hija verament sabiħa d-deskrizzjoni meta Ġesù jidħol fid-dar ta’ Xmun, fejn kien hemm omm il-mara tiegħu li kienet ma tiflaħx… Read more »

Touching the tassel on his cloak – Bishop Galea-Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Hemm mumenti fl-Evanġelju fejn lil Ġesù narawh b’folol kbar ta’ nies. L-Evanġelju tal-lum hu wieħed minnhom, meta lanqas laħqu waslu Ġesù u d-dixxipli, u rabtu d-dgħajsa max-xatt, li ma tfaċċawx ħafna nies. U dawn in-nies kellhom skop partikulari: li jġibulu l-morda biex Ġesù jfejjaqhom. Mhux biss hemmhekk fejn ix-xatt, imma meta daħal fl-ibliet u fl-irħula u fil-kampanja, kienu qishom jagħmlu laqgħat kbar, mass meetings ta’ morda, u jitolbu lil Ġesù jfejjaqhom… Read more »
