Meeting of the Press Officers and Spokespersons of Bishops' Conferences of Europe

  • How do we deal with and communicate a crisis situation? Are there standard strategies? What is the role of the Press Office? These are some of the questions that opened the annual meeting of the Press Officers and Spokespersons of the Episcopal Conferences of Europe.

Blessed John Henry Newman to be canonised on October 13

  • At a Consistory of Cardinals on Monday, Pope Francis formally approved Blessed John Henry Newman’s canonisation along with that of Sister Mariam Thresia, of Giuseppina Vannini, of Dulce Lopes Pontes and of Margarita Bays.

    In February, the Pope signed a decree recognising a second miracle attributed to Blessed John Henry Newman, the inexplicable healing of a woman with a “life-threatening pregnancy”…
