Day 2: Meeting of media officers and spokespersons of the Bishops’ Conferences in Europe

  • The second day of the CCEE meeting in Malta started with the media officials sharing and discussing their experiences on how they dealt with crisis situations related to economic and transparency issues, child and sexual abuse, refugee arrivals and the relationship with the institutions.

Abortions in England and Wales hit record level

  • Abortions in England and Wales have hit a record level, according to statistics released by the British government.

    Figures published online June 13 by the Department of Health revealed that abortions in 2018 rose by 4 per cent from the previous year.
