    Saint Mark 16:15-20

Jesus said to the eleven: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. They will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them…

    11 ta’ April 2018

“Ħenjin dawk li ma rawx u emmnu” (Ġw 20:29).  Din hija l-aħħar beatitudni li nisimgħu fl-Evanġelju. Diversi drabi l-Mulej Ġesù jsemmi l-barkiet: hemm il-barkiet tal-beatitudnijiet fuq il-muntanja, it-tmienja li huma; hemm il-barka li jgħid lil Pietru: “Ħieni int għax mhux id-demm u l-laħam għarrfek dan, imma Missieri” (ara Mt 16:17); hemm l-hena ta’ omm Ġesù: “Ħienja int li emmint dak li qallek il-Mulej” (ara Lq 1:45); u hemm din il-beatitudni li hija l-beatitudni tagħna “Ħenjin dawk li ma rawx u emmnu.”

Aħna ma rajniex lil Ġesù jterraq fid-dinja, ma rajniex il-mirakli tiegħu, ma smajnihx jitkellem…

  • Photo: Pope Francis at lunch with the poor of Molise, Italy, 5 July, 2014.

  • Pope Francis on Monday marked the feast of his namesake, Jorge (George), in his characteristic unassuming way, spending time with the needy and homeless of Rome, the Office of Papal Charities said in a brief note.  It said that on this occasion it would distribute 3000 ice creams to the poor and homeless who daily come to soup kitchens, dormitories and other places run mostly by Caritas in the Italian capital.

Pope Francis was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio  to parents of Italian descent on 17 December 1936 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  He was baptized Jorge, the Spanish for George, at Christmas that year in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Buenos Aires…

Jesus answered them, “I told you and you do not believe…

Every Life Matters Conference

  • As prenatal tests proliferate, the medical and broader communities perceive that such testing is a logical extension of good prenatal care. But prenatal tests are also criticized by the disability rights community, which contends that advances in science should be directed at improving their lives, not preventing or annihilating them.

Great misconceptions exist in the community at large as well as within the medical profession on living life with disability…

    Saint John 10:1-10

Jesus said: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber. But whoever enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice, as he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has driven out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they recognize his voice…
