Mother Teresa to be co-patron of Calcutta Archdiocese ‎

  • As the first anniversary of the sainthood of Mother Teresa of Kolkata was marked on Monday, the Archdiocese of Calcutta, in eastern India, is set to declare her as its co-patron.  “On 6 September we will have at 5.30 pm a Holy Mass in the Cathedral (of the Most Holy Rosary) and the Archbishop is going to declare Mother Teresa as co-patroness of the Archdiocese,” IANS reported Sister Prema, Superior-General of the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa, as saying on September 4.

The 2017 Season of Creation

The events are being organised by the Church Environment Commission and Nature Trust Malta

  • The 2017 Christian Season of Creation (1st September to 4th October) in Malta and Gozo will be launched by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna during a Solemn Mass at St. John’s Co‑Cathedral, Valletta, on Saturday 2nd September, at 6pm. The Mass will follow prayers for creation which will be said in all churches in Malta and Gozo on 1st September.
