U.S. Catholic leaders denounce racism and call for unity and prayer

  • Catholic leaders in the United States have spoken out forcefully against racism in the wake of violent protests that erupted last weekend in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia.

    A planned rally by the so-called “alt-right” that included white supremacists and neo-Nazi groups was met by large counter-protests; as fights broke out between the two groups, police attempted to disperse the crowds. Motorcyclists’ pilgrimage on the feast of ‘Santa Marija’

  • Għat-tieni sena konsekuttiva, il-parroċċi ta’ Ħad-Dingli u l-Imġarr organizzaw Pellegrinaġġ bil-Muturi fil-festa ta’ Santa Marija.  Dawn huma żewġ parroċċi dedikati lil Santa Marija li iżda jiċċelebraw il-festa titulari Ħadd fuq il-15 ta’ Awwissu.  Għalhekk ittieħdet l-inizjattiva li llum, is-solennita’ tat-tlugħ fis-sema tal-Madonna, tiġi organizzata din l-attivita’ li tgħaqqad flimkien sewwieqa ta’ muturi miż-żewġ lokalitajiet li jsuqu f’pellegrinaġġ wara x-xbieha ta’ Santa Marija.
