Pope: Christians are called to be witnesses of obedience

  • Pope Francis on Thursday reflected on the fact that being Christian is not a social status. Speaking during the homily at the Mass in the Casa Santa Marta the Pope said Christians must be witnesses of obedience to God, like Jesus was.

Bishops’ welcome the appointment of the new Apostolic Nuncio to Malta

  • Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna and Bishop Mario Grech welcome the appointment by Pope Francis, of His Excellency Archbishop Alessandro D’Errico, as the new Apostolic Nuncio in Malta. 

    The Bishops promise Archbishop D’Errico their prayers and those of the Catholic faithful in Malta and Gozo.

Archbishop Alessandro D’Errico appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Malta

  • Today, Thursday 27th April 2017, His Holiness Pope Francis appointed His Excellency Monsignor Alessandro D’Errico, Titular Archbishop of Carini and currently Apostolic Nuncio in Croatia, as the new Apostolic Nuncio in Malta.

    H. E. Monsignor Alessandro D’Errico was born in Frattamaggiore in Naples, Italy, on the 18th November 1950.

    He was ordained priest on 24th March 1974 and he was incardinated in the Diocese of Aversa…
