Volunteers’ Send-Off 2012

Wednesday June 27 – young volunteers will give a start to their summer experiences with a celebration at St Gregory’s Medieval Chapel in Żejtun. Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. will symbolically give his mandate to the young people, on behalf of the Church in Malta.

Around 300 volunteers will spend between two weeks and two months of their summer holidays at the service of people in need… Read more »

GOZO DIOCESE DONATES €20,000 TO DAR TAL-PROVIDENZA

The Gozo Diocese presented a cheque of €20,000 to Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza.  The sum was collected during the RTK4Charity Open Day that is organized annually at the Home in Siggiewi on New Year’s Day by RTK radio. Gozo Bishop, Mgr Mario Grech visited the Home on Saturday and took time to meet up with the residents and care workers… Read more »

CHANGES IN VATICAN MEDIA

On Tuesday the Vatican announced that as of this July 31, the Vatican Information Service (VIS) will cease to exist as a separate office providing information distinct from the Bulletin of the Holy See Press Office.

There will, however, be a Press Office Bulletin. Some of the VIS staff will be transferred to work on the multilingual news.va portal, which was established a year ago… Read more »
