ADOPTION FROM ETHIOPIA: THE MALTESE CHURCH NEVER GAVE ‘FORMAL INSTRUCTIONS’

Minkejja l-impressjoni li setgħet ingħatat f’kitbiet fuq timesofmalta.com u The Times f’dawn l-aħħar ġimgħat, IL-ĠENSillum online tista’ tikkonferma li l-Knisja f’Malta qatt ma tat struzzjonijiet formali dwar adozzjonijiet minn orfanatrofju mmexxi minn sorijiet Maltin fl-Etjopja. Il-verità hi, skont is-Superjura tal-Kidane Meheret Children’s Home, li l-policy tal-Gvern tal-Etjopja hi li tingħata prijorità lill-koppji miżżewġa u, fuq kollox, lil dawk Etjopiċi… Read more »

NATIONAL INTEREST AND COMMON GOOD SHOULD BE THE PRINCIPALS THAT GUIDE THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM

Fil-fehma tar-rettur tal-Kulleġġ Santu Wistin, is-sitwazzjoni li nħolqot wara li fil-bidu ta’ dan ix-xahar il-Bord tal-MEPA ma laqax l-applikazzjoni li saret quddiemu biex issir estensjoni tal-Kulleġġ tista’ twassal kuntrarjament għal dak li ssostni r-Riforma Nazzjonali tal-Edukazzjoni, fejn għadd ta’ tfal mhux se jkollhom id-dritt li jipparteċipaw fil-proċess tad-dħul fl-Iskejjel tal-Knisja.

Dejjem skont Fr Alan, fin-nofs hemm ukoll il-prinċipju tal-kontinwità “li hu l-bażi ta’ din ir-riforma biex uliedna f’età daqshekk żgħira jgħaddu mingħajr skossi mill-fażi Primarja għal dik Sekondarja”… Read more »

“After such a prolonged war you are always in doubt of what might happen next,” the bishop said… Read more »

ARCHBISHOP’S MESSAGE DURING MASS FOR FEAST ORGANISERS

KonKatidral ta’ San Ġwann

23 ta’ Frar 2012

Ħuti,

Il-laqgħa tagħna din is-sena għamilniha propju fil-bidu tar-Randan; fl-Erbgħa tal-Irmied. Għamilna l-irmied fuq moħħna biex ngharfu l-verita, il-verita li hemm tistenniena f’ħajja  differenti, għax dik ta’ din l-art tintemm bħal ma jintemm l-irmied.  Bdejna din il-mixja li se teħodna għal misteri kbar tat-tbatija, il-mewt u l-qawmien ta’ Ġesu… Read more »
