Benedict XVI will be praying in September for authentic social progress and an end to bloody conflicts and wars.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for September. His general prayer intention is: “That in the least developed regions of the world the announcement of the Word of God brings renewal to the hearts of all, prompting them to be protagonists of an authentic social progress.”

Between Saturday, 28th August and Thursday, 2nd September, 2010, at the Archbishop’s Seminary in Tal-Virtù, some 85 European Discalced Carmelite Students and their formators are being hosted by their confreres in the Malta Province to discuss Evangelisation in a European context flowing from the missionary spirit of St Paul.

I was the fortunate youth from Munxar, who was selected to represent the Gozitan youths during Pope Benedict XVI’s visit in Malta.  I was nominated by the parish of St Paul’s shipwreck where I am active as a catechist (at the Museum Branch of Sannat) and well involved in the Youth Movement.
