On the 100th anniversary of the Vestis Honoris (Robe of Honour), written by St. George Preca, the SDC celebrated a thanksgiving celebration at the Collegiate Church of the Immaculate Conception in Cospicua. On Wednesday 20th November 2024, the SDC members and candidates from all over Malta gathered before the titular painting of the Immaculate Conception to express their gratitude to God for inspiring St George Preca to compose this beautiful hymn in honor of Our Lady. The titular painting, depicting Our Lady as a young lady dressed in white, being crowned by God the Father and surrounded by angels, was painted by Peter Paul Caruana in 1828.

To this day, SDC members and candidates recite the Vestis Honoris on the 7th, 17th, and 27th of each month throughout the year.

As Christians, we should honor Our Lady as the Queen of Heaven and Earth, whom God the Father favored by choosing her as the true and natural mother of His Divine Son, blessed her with an immaculate conception, and honoring her with her assumption into heaven after her natural death.
