  • The Communications Office refers to articles published in the media over the last 48 hours about Fr Felix Cini, a priest of Maltese nationality incardinated in the Diocese of Grosseto, Italy. Fireworks displays on Church property

  • Following the Archdiocese of Malta circular published on 4th May 2018, which referred to a previous directive published years ago stating that fireworks should not be let off from Church property, Church authorities discussed the current situation with parish priests and various experts, and also met representatives of fireworks societies who wanted to give their views. Following a number of meetings, the original decision not to let off fireworks from Church property was upheld.

  • Following intense negotiations, the Church Authorities and the Malta Union of Teachers (MUT) have agreed on a Collective Agreement for Church Schools which will be effective from 2018 until 2022. The signing of this agreement was presided over by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna, today, at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana.

New director for Caritas Malta
