On the 3rd June, every citizen has the responsibility to choose whom to trust with the leadership of our country for the coming years. Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna and Bishop Mario Grech state that this is a great responsibility that demands from us sound preparation so that we will be able to make an informed decision, and to vote according to our conscience.
The Bishops also state that this responsibility demands that we choose people of wisdom and integrity, who treasure and embrace the ethical values that we believe in as Catholics. One supreme value is that of the protection of human life from its conception to its natural end, and the respect for the dignity of each person.
The Bishops put forward the following question: “What kind of society do we want for ourselves and for future generations?” They also state that we will be answering this question by casting our vote in the General Election.
