Saint Luke 17:11-19
As Jesus continued his journey to Jerusalem, he traveled through Samaria and Galilee. As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him. They stood at a distance from him and raised their voice, saying, “Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!” And when he saw them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.”
As they were going they were cleansed. And one of them, realising he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him…
The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Greg Burke, announced on Tuesday that Pope Francis will visit Morocco from the 30th to the 31st of March 2019.
During this two-day Apostolic Journey, he will visit the cities of Rabat and Casablanca.
Greg Burke said that this decision comes in response to an invitation extended by King Mohammed VI and the Catholic Bishops of Morocco…
His Holiness Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna as Adjunct Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Holy See. Whilst remaining the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr Scicluna will have a greater role in the Congregation which is responsible to promote and safeguard the doctrine on faith and morals in the Church.
At present, Archbishop Scicluna is a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and President of the Special College within the same Congregation, to hear recourses in certain canonical processes…
Pope Francis urged all Catholics to pray for the Church during the month of October, both individually and as a community. The Pope invites us to daily pray the Holy Rosary with the intention that the Holy Mother of God “puts the Church under her protective mantle to preserve her from the attacks of the evil one to make all the more conscious of the faults, the mistakes, the abuses made in the present and in the past, and more committed to fighting without any hesitation for evil not to prevail”…
