Nhar il-Ġimgħa 11 ta’ Diċembru 2015, l-Arċisqof Charles J. Scicluna iċċelebra Quddiesa fl-okkażjoni tal-Milied għall-impjegati tas-Segretarjat għall-Edukazzjoni Nisranija, fir-‘Russian Chapel’ ġewwa l-palazz tal-President f’San Anton. Dan wara laqgħa li l-istess membri kellhom mal-President ta’ Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, fejn ġew diskussi d-diffikultajiet li jiltaqgħu magħhom l-istess membri fl-iskejjel.

Pope Francis says the Church must be humble, poor and trusting in the Lord. Speaking during Mass at Casa Santa Marta on Tuesday morning the Pope emphasized the fact that poverty is the first of the Beatitudes, and that the poor are the Church’s true riches.

Commenting on the first reading from the Book of Zephaniah in which Jesus rebukes the chief priests and warns them that even prostitutes will precede them into the Kingdom of Heaven, Pope Francis said that still today temptations can corrupt the witness of the church…

By means of the Extraordinary Jubilee declared by Pope Francis, Jesus himself is inviting us to, “be merciful just as your Father in heaven is merciful” (Lk 6, 36). The Jubilee invites us to recognize just how merciful we can be towards one another in our daily lives.
