Pope Francis holds audience with the President of Malta

  • Today, in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the Holy Father Francis received in audience the president of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, who subsequently met with Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, secretary for Relations with States.

The Archbishop meets youth during ‘Volunteers’ Homecoming’

  • Nhar il-Ġimgħa 26 ta’ Settembru 2014, l-Arċisqof Pawlu Cremona laqa’ lura liż-żgħażagħ li għamlu esperjenza ta’ volontarjat matul is-sajf, waqt l-attività ‘Volunteers’ Homecoming’. L-attività saret fiċ-Ċentru Animazzjoni Missjunarja, f’Santa Venera.

    Din is-sena, ‘il fuq minn 500 voluntier minn 27 organiżżazzjoni differenti wettqu proġetti ta’ volontarjat f’aktar minn 30 belt madwar id-dinja, mifruxa f’erba’ kontinenti.

Pope Francis meets elderly in St Peter’s Square

  • A brilliantly sunlit St. Peter’s Square was the scene Sunday morning for a great gathering of senior citizens – and especially grandparents – who had come to Rome to be with Pope Francis, to exchange life stories and hear the Holy Father’s reflections on the importance, the struggles, and the beauty of life in the old age. Vain Christians are like soap bubbles – Pope Francis

  • During his morning Mass at the Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis warned us to beware of vanity, which takes us far from the truth and makes us seem like “soap bubbles.” Taking the first reading as his starting point, he emphasised that when they do good, Christians must avoid the temptation to “make themselves seen.”
