Il-Ħadd 29 ta’ April, il-Knisja tiċċelebra Jum il-Vokazzjonijiet. Minn mindu daħlet fis-seħħ il-liġi tad-divorzju f’pajjiżna fl-1 ta’ Ottubru li għadda sa l-aħħar ta’ Marzu ta’ din is-sena, jiġifieri f’perjodu ta’ sitt xhur, quddiem il-Qrati ta’ Malta u Għawdex saru b’kollox 436 applikazzjoni għad-divorzju. Dan skont tagħrif mogħti mill-Ministeru tal-Ġustizzja, Konsultazzjoni Pubblika u l-Familja lil IL-ĠENSillum online.
Fl-ewwel tlett xhur li l-liġi kienet fis-seħħ, jiġifieri bejn l-1 ta’ Ottubru u l-31 ta’ Diċembru 2011, quddiem il-Qrati ta’ Malta kienu daħlu b’kollox 242 applikazzjoni għad-divorzju, waqt li ġimgħa wara daħlet il-liġi, kienu diġà daħlu 20 applikazzjoni għad-divorzju… Read more »

On Saturday 28 April 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. will institute two seminarians as lectors. On Tuesday 24th April 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. visited the Benedictine Sisters at the St Scholastic Monastery, Vittoriosa. Later, the Archbishop met the youth of Vittoriosa and the adolescent group.

On the occasion of the Feast of St Joseph the Worker, which is celebrated on 1st May (Workers Day), Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. visited employees who work at the Enemalta Power Station in Marsa on Wednesday 26th April 2012. This visit was planned to coincide with the 35th anniversary since the setting up of Enemalta corporation. World Malaria Day
Today is World Malaria Day. Global campaigners are using the occasion to appeal for 3.2 billion dollars to try to reach the U.N. goal of “near-zero” deaths from the mosquito-borne disease by 2015. According to the World Health Organization great progress has been made in reducing malaria deaths using bednets, insecticide spray and drugs.
Lydia O’Kane spoke to Felicia Price, technical advisor for community health and HIV with Christian Aid who stressed the importance of education in the fight against the disease… Read more »
