News from the Church in Malta
On Saturday 22nd September 2012, a final declaration was issued by the International Conference “The Arab Spring…One Year Later”, organised by the Justice and Peace Commission of the Church in Malta. The Conference was held at the Archbishop’s Seminary at Tal-Virtú, Rabat, with more than 40 participants getting from 30 different countries.

St. Francis Xavier
He’s known as the Apostle of the East, the most travelled missionary and evangeliser since the days of St Paul. St Francis Xavier, co-founder of the Society of Jesus, lived in the first half of the 16th century and was famed for his work of bringing the Gospel to India, Japan and parts of modern day Indonesia.

On the 11th October, the Church in Malta will unite with the Universal Church for the commencement of the Year of the Faith.
