Hundreds of people have been giving public witness to the ways Pope John Paul II changed or even saved their lives. Men and women of all ages and nationalities have sent personal stories to www.karol-wojtyla.org — a website run by the Diocese of Rome dedicated to the late pope’s beatification and canonization. As of April 28, the multi-lingual site published more than 400 testimonies from people sharing the ways they feel Pope John Paul interceded on their behalf or brought them back to the church… Read more »

ADMISSION OR EXCLUSION OF ADVOCATES FROM THE ECCLESIASTICAL TRIBUNAL

Without referring to any particular case, the principles for the admission or exclusion of advocates from the Album of an Ecclesiasticcal Tribunal are taken from these documents.

The Apostolic Letter Justi Judicis (art. 6) of 1988 states that “Furthermore from the Album should be removed … those who agree with or are active in associations or movements which promote ways of thinking or acting that are contrary to the faith and the Catholic teachings about morals, or defend proposals and advice about civil order which go against the precepts of natural and christian law”… Read more »

The Vatican Library celebrates 560 years of existence this year. Its official beginnings date, in fact, from the Brief ‘pro communi doctorum virorum commodo’ (to facilitate the research of scholars) emanated by Pope Nicholas V on 30 April 1451.
