APPEAL FOR AID FOR FAMINE VICTIMS IN THE HORN OF AFRICA

Following his catechesis during this morning’s general audience the Holy Father launched an appeal to the international community to help people suffering famine in the Horn of Africa.

MSSP PRESS STATEMENT

On the 4th October 2011, Fr Bernard Mangion MSSP, Superior General of the Missionary Society of St Paul, recieved a note from the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith that confirmed the decision of the Penal Administrative Process with regards to the case of Fr Conrad Sciberras MSSP. This says that “since moral certainty has not been attained that Fr Conrad Sciberras is being found guilty of having sexually abused a number of minors in the terms of current Jurisprudence”, a negative decision was given as to whether Fr Conrad Sciberras sexually abused minors… Read more »

Last Sunday 2 October, Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone S.D.B. represented the Holy Father at the beatification of Antonia Maria Verna (1773-1838). The beatification ceremony was held in the cathedral of Ivrea, Italy.
